Tomato

Self-initiated, personal brand project of a ficticious tomato-based product company based in Spain. Tomatoes took almost 200 years to become an integral part of Spanish cuisine; the fruit is used ad lib in salads and cooked meals although labour-saving canned products like tomate frito ('instant' tomato puree fried in olive oil with a hint of onion and garlic) are also popular.

Another inspiration for this project is La Tomatina — a festival that is held in the Valencian town of Buñol, in the east of Spain, 30 kilometres from the Mediterranean — in which participants throw tomatoes and get involved in a tomato fight purely for entertainment purposes.
